Keep Your Documents Valid

If you are applying for a permit it is your responsibility to have:

  • Valid driver’s license
  • Valid vehicle registration
  • Proof of insurance

If any of these items become invalid, you are required to notify Campus Safety & Security.

Failure to do so shall result in immediate revocation of parking privileges without a refund.

Towing

Failure to have a university parking permit can result in the vehicle receiving citations and towing enforcement at the owner’s expense.

If your vehicle is towed from Lot B or D, contact Preferred Parking at 704-375-6014.

If towed from Lot C contact Campus Safety & Security at 980 598-1900 for instructions.

Transferring Permits

Permits are not transferable and are valid only for the registered vehicle.

If you change vehicles for any reason, you are required to notify Campus Safety & Security immediately or be subject to towing and fines.

Overflow

We strongly advise all students to remember that parking is on a first come, first serve basis.

Once all available university parking is occupied, there are additional parking opportunities in the area that can be utilized.

Parking venues not owned or operated by Johnson & Wales University and parking agreements at their locations are solely between the operator and the vehicle owner.

  • Permits are valid for the vehicle they are issued for only and are valid for the period indicated on the permit.
  • Parking permits are non-refundable; they are transferable to an alternate vehicle of the original owner only upon sanction of Campus Safety & Security.
  • Vehicles must be parked properly within a designated space so as not to interfere with another parking space or to obstruct a lane of travel.
